Wireless is so bad. I swear I have the patience of Jobe and it sometimes…….argh….

But you know, I'm actually just happy that I can access the net at all. I'm usually up about 4ish and speed is fine that early in the morning.

It would be nice to be able to move in the evening, do a little more "research".

Nine in the evening as I write this (off-line). I usually sit out on Kali's deck in the evening…….have one of those Gander Mountain canvas, fold-up chairs and I like 'em. Ten bucks.

Sky tonight has that yellow /orange look that you see when a storm is coming. Really funky look. Front moving WSW to ENE and just a little to the north. Rain has been forecast for the next three days but seems it's changed tonight and will pass to the north.

Back in the '80's, when I was flying cargo down in the Caribbean (hmmm…that's another story) I was pretty damn weather savvy. It occurs to me that I am about to re-visit that knowledge. How lucky am I that I'll be tucked away in some little Bahamian cove, sitting on deck, watching the sky?

I am stoked

One month…….I'll be sailing south.

Refrigerator cabinet is done and installed, as are the starboard side cabinets and bookshelf. Good progress the last few days.

Wow, life is good,,,,,,maybe never better.

Still looking for the "One" but I am ever optimistic……good things are in the works……….happening? Maybe, maybe………….

We have rain.........warm and a killer sky...............uh, huh.....big shit-eating grin.......yeppers, life IS good...........

I have come to the conclusion that unless you can access Wi-Fi, wireless sucks.

I've only been able to get on-line for brief moments during the last week plus and then I could barely move.

Finally went to ATT this morning and they said "something" was wrong with my modem so they gave me a new one.

I can move but it horribly slow.

The port side cabinets are installed and really look good. I may pull them out though and re-do one of the door tracks. One door is sticking and I'll rue the day when I'm at sea and have to fix it there.

The good thing is that I installed them for a "quick remove" and all removal entails is removing a few screws.

Been working on the refrigerator cabinet the last few days. These cabinets are time consuming. Three coats of primer on the boxes and then a finish coat of semi-gloss. The trim is all stained with two coats and then poly'ed. I use contact cement to put the trim on. In fact there are no nails in any of the cabinets. All contact cement and screws.

Drizzle all day today so couldn't do anything......all finish work right now.

I wrote this entry back on March 15th but could not post it because I could not get on-line.

I write this Sunday morning, the 15th of March.

Well, CA seems to have come around.

Friday we went to the arts, music, and seafood fest that they had downtown at the parking garage. Was fun. Especially fun to run into her artist friends.

Went back to Kali and had great sex though neither of us came. She didn't because she wanted me to come. We've made love, I dunno, 8-9-10 times and I've only come once. She's bought into the fact that I just can't come in a um, "vanilla" way. Stayed up and played until like 2:30 in the morning…..shackles and c ties…….whew……close…..

Saturday we went out to the flea market and damned if very first thing she walked into a great yarn sale. And she's been complaining about the lack of good yarn sales. We'll come back Sunday for her to buy….says she has to think about exactly what she wants to buy.

Looked around Boat World after the flea market. Mostly for ideas for some woodworking. CA loves the way the cabinets turned out and thinks I should make and sell the little teak nick-nack stuff that you typically see on boats. Boat World had a small teak spice rack that they wanted $35 for……sheesh…..

Good progress on the port side cabinets today. I re-did the doors. Initially used the same 1/4' luan paneling that I used for the facing but it was just too wimpy. Bought some 1/2" "some-kind-of-stuff" at Home Depot today. Melonite or something like that. Lightweight, smooth, and was only 5-6 bucks for a 2' x 4' sheet.

But boy!…..Is it staining up funky!

Sucked up all the first-coat stain and barely darkened it. Four coats later it's looking pretty good. Just put on the last coat so we'll see when it dries.

Ok, the Vanilla Lady.

This is one strange woman. Hmm……the "R" word here??…..<ducks>……….

Anyway, we click on lots and lots of levels. She's smart and a smart-ass. Great shape but meeting her through that "fitness" site, you'd figure that she would be in shape.

Speaking of which, she is adamant that I lie about how we meet. I am to tell no one that she, um "stalked" (her word) me.

Now, I think that what she did is killer and a big part of what attracts me to her. To track me down and come to the boatyard………..I mean, how smart is that?!! How gutsy is that?!! Damn…..I love it! My kind of woman, but………….

I'm wondering here.

Anyway, she's very aggressive and readily admits that she is going to do whatever she wants regardless. So that's good. That's sure a Dominant trait. She says the "lifestyle" is kind of freaky but she has experimented with me a bit.

The, I think third time she tied me to the sides of the vee berth, after she orgasimed she lay down on top of me, put her hands on my shoulders and very slowly ran them up my stretched arms, lingering when she got to my wrists. Lingering, squeezing, rubbing……the ropes………..my arms………..whew………

Ok, I admit it. I AM the eternal optimist but damned if I ain't taking that as a sign that she's liking it.

How important is that?

Critical.

Well……ok, it's not but God knows, be a ton cooler if we shared that passion for power exchange.

But, reckon we don't. And we've come to some kind of stalemate.

Haven't seen her for a couple of days though she's called. She says she is afraid that I'll hurt her. Now I always get that once we've talked in some depth and I've revealed that three of my marriages ended because I cheated.

So.............. hard to blame her. And of course I've sworn that this time around I am going to be true. But she's stayed away for a couple of days now.

So I went back to Okcupid today. Had several emails from there.

Finally broke down and signed up for ATT wireless as my IP. Could never connect to the boatyard IP.

$60 a month and they say I'll have access in Puerto Rico and the US Virgins.

Had to pay $300 for the modem. Would have been free had I been willing to sign up for two years of service.

Progress on Kali has been slow. Weather has been too damn cold!

Should finish up all the cabinets in the next two or three days and then move to the outside. The good news is the outside may not take as long as I expected.

A friend of mine here with a 36' Watkins gave me several books on exterior repair / restoration and it looks to be faster than I anticipated. She had to re-do part of her boat after she was run down by a 300' cargo ship just of the Dominican Republic. Just a glancing blow but still some pretty bad damage.

Sheesh....two weeks of email to read.............

Took the workout machine to Interlachen Sunday. Breaking it down and then delivering it all took longer than anticipated so I did not get any work done on Kali.

Did make a pretty good dent with the binder yesterday though. One more coat today and then I'll paint. Maybe able to do that this afternoon since the binder dries incredibly fast.

Interesting occurrence yesterday while I was working on Kali.

Seems I joined a "dating" site that I had forgotten about. Well, she's on that site and I'll be damned if she didn't come out to the marina yesterday and introduce herself.

I was absolutely blown away. I mean I say I'm looking for an aggressive woman and that's damn sure aggressive, I loved it.

And get this, she's a sailor. Actually lived on a sailboat before. Being a sailor she knew where to look and the Gator flag on Kali gave me away.

And she's an artist and I have always been drawn to them. Spent the better part of my life in relationships with artists. Dunno.....I like their minds, their creativity. They do think outside the box.

There was definitely chemistry. She has great brain and the type of bod that appeals to me.

She had some cool ideas about water storage too. That creative mind at work....<g>........

She liked the name Kali and asked about it so I sent her to the okcupid site. Not that it explains who Kali is but it does explain who I am a little better than the site she saw me on where the only "kink" reference I made was to say I was reading Gloria Brame.

Figure it's best to be right up front from the get-go.

Heh, reckon we'll see...............after that I may never see her again. You just never know how a "vanilla" will react. Course I don't even know that she's vanilla. The artists do seem to be more prone to the um, nonconventional.

We exchanged phone numbers ( and hugs....<g>....) but since I um, "came out" by sending her to okcupid I think I'll wait to see how all that goes over.

Workout machine

Still playing catch-up on Kali.

Managed to apply two coats of binder though. Finally! More today.

Put my workout machine on St Aug Craiglist yesterday and damned if I didn't sell it right away!

To an Interlachen couple. I agreed to deliver this morning so I'm going to break it down, load it up in my truck and then shoot over to Interlachen before I go to the Marina. All my tools are on Kali except for one wrench so breakdown may be a bit of a challenge.

Got to thinking last night about yesterday's entry.

Specifically about the cheating on the Ex part.

I think that if there was one single thing that I could change in my life, undoing that would be my choice.

Not to salvage the relationship.....it just wasn't going to work anymore but that sure as hell was the wrong way to deal with ending a relationship.

Obviously I cannot fix it, undo it and my attempt to assuage my guilt by giving her the house when I left didn't help much. She's a good woman and didn't deserve anything but complete honesty. I've always made a big deal out of honesty, saying what you mean, meaning what you say and boy, did I play the hypocrite with that one.

Fortunately we are still friends though we don't talk much anymore.

Reckon the best I can say here is that hopefully, we / I learn from our mistakes.

27 degrees here this morning but it's supposed to go into the fifties today so I'll be able to paint. I'll be playing catch-up for a couple of days.

Water tank continues to be a problem. Haven't been able to find one specifically made for a Columbia 8.3 though there is a Fort Pierce marine salvage company that is going through it's inventory and say they may have one.

Seems the water bed idea won't work. Nasty chemicals used on the inside of them. I did find a bladder that is made by a marine equipment company in Maine that I may end up buying. $300 though. Kali is a money mistress for sure. Ouch.

Been talking with a few women on a site I recently discovered, okcupid. Pretty cool site. Open minded, free, and has some fun features like a bevy of tests designed to match interests / personalities. One Lady in particular has caught my eye. Bit of an enigma but way interesting.

Not going to be a "first mate" for Kali (besides, she'd likely execute a mutiny) but I do like her brain.

Regrettably, most all the women that I am talking with are, for one reason or another, in no position to walk away from their lives and take to the high seas.

There is one on another site that as a Dive Master and sailor is an excellent candidate but she is pure sub. I could do a switch but probably not a sub. Not on a long-term basis anyway.

Need to get moving. I'm going to Home Depot this morning to pick up material for my new cabinets / storage closets. After I'm done painting, that's my next project for Kali.

Had an interesting email this morning.

The Florida Alumni Association's web page provides a service where you can post your resume or in my case, your web page link for prospective employers. Called "Florida Connections".

Well, a North Carolina Multi-Family Builder saw mine and asked if I would like to interview. Not an offer but the Gator Nation is a tight-knit group and that, plus the fact that I played football there, plus the fact that Multi-Family is an extremely specialized industry, way different that any kind of construction, sure seems to give me the inside track and with construction so dead any opportunity is enticing.

However there is no way I'm leaving Kali until She's done and ready to sail.

So I emailed them back and told them that I was in the middle of restoring a sailboat and would not be available until mid March. We'll see..........pretty psyched about sailing south but damn, I could sure use the bucks. Kail is a cruel mistress in the sense that She sure is eating up money. Course that's no different from any sailboat restoration project.

Be nice to tuck away $40-50 grand before I sailed south. One apartment project would be nice.

Cold again this morning.......26 degrees with the high forecast to be only 43-45. No painting today.

Need to stop procrasting about selling the "toys". I'm finding it tough to part with them.

Plus one of my Ex's wants me to sell hers and is willing to split the profits if I will.

She has some pretty cool stuff too. A few years ago when we were giving the relationship another try, totally unbeknownts to me, she bought a Neosteel and had every intention of slapping my ass in that infernal device. Price I was going to pay for cheating on her. In addition to giving her the house! (which I did)

Fortunately she messed up the measurements and the waist was too big. I think she ordered a 36" waist and no way that will fit me. Whew........I hate the thought of chastity. Scares the hell out of me. Dunno, maybe it's mid-life crisis related or I've hit my second childhood or something but I seem to be um, horny all the damn time.....<shrug>......

Anyway, she says she paid almost two grand for it so likely be able to get $12-1500 for it. I could use it. Bunch of other cool stuff too.....clejusos, steel belt with wrist shackles, etc, etc. I dunno.........maybe I'll call her today and then go up and take pictures.

Incredibly cold here this morning!

Any damn wonder that I'm heading for points south?

Kali continues to progress well.

I've now gutted the entire main cabin and re-stained and poly'ed all the trim work.

Spent yesterday sanding the rough spots in the walls, puttying up old holes, and taping off everything so I can put on the binder coat of paint. Weather today and tomorrow has thrown me a curve ball though. Can't apply the binder unless the temperature is above 50 degrees and we ain't making that until Friday. Sheesh.......the best laid plans of mice and men...........

Hmmm.....who said that? Long time since my English Lit days in Gatorland but I think it was Robert Burns........in Olde English too......"aft lang ga astrae" , or something like that....<shrug>......

Ok, ok, I'm rambling.......trying to avoid going out in the cold I reckon.........

Nothing much I can do on Kali today........too cold..........

Late start today. I only have two weeks to get rid of anything that I cannot take on Kali so I'm putting a load together to take to The Betty Griffitn House.

BGH is Similar to Goodwill except that all it's proceeds go to support of battered women.

Unreal that there are battered women! Makes you wonder about how some men are wired. Don't get me started on this. Not a whole hell of a lot pisses me off but this sure does.

Anyway, years of multi-family work have precluded any pack-ratting on my part. You just move too much so I haven't accumulated a ton of stuff.

Gawd, I do hate giving up books. Speaking of which, BGH has the best selection of used books on the Island. Actually the best in the County. Hardbacks for a buck. Great place.

Selling my workout machine, a Joe Wieder (sp?) 3500 on Craig's List. Only paid $150 for it and I'll sell it, transport it, and set it up for $75. Heh, takes about an hour to put it all together.

Reckon I'll sell a bunch of toys too........several pairs of medium weight clejusos, a set of KUB 218's, hoods, gags, couple of whips, etc, etc. Probably do that on ebay. Friend of mine heads up a local munch and been thinking about letting him auction them off. Dunno....thinking about it still.

Another cold, rainy day.....yuk......I cannot wait to head south!

Kali is "on the hard" in a St Augustine Marina / Boatyard.

Cleanup is a monumental task as She had set for almost two years. The good news is that I am almost finished and will begin re-finishing and staining all the trim today. Then will repaint the rest.

My Owner's Manual, along with Electrical and Plumbing Schematics are being shipped today (finally!). Actually pretty fortunate that I was able to find them.

Looking for a new fresh water tank. Mine is shot (and nasty!). If I cannot find one made specifically for Her, I may use a waterbed. Thinking on it.
